| 4:30 PM - Hometown Barbecue is held on the Amphitheater plaza. A great meal, featuring Andy's Barbecued Baby Back Ribs, is served up by the local Lions Club. |

6:30 PM - Ghost Walk, After dinner, starting at 6:30 PM, is the Independence Ghost Walk. Ghost Hosts serve as guides for groups of 30-35 people. Guests visit classic downtown buildings and hear stories historic, anecdotal, and downright spooky.

| 7:00AM - In the early hours of Saturday morning, a visit to the Independence Airport is recommended. Hot air balloons will be preparing to take off, weather permitting. Inside the public hanger, enjoy a tasty pancake breakfast. |

| 10:00 AM - The Festival itself opens at 10 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2011. Vendors begin arriving much earlier to set up and be ready for guests and shoppers. Performers begin tuning up. Classic and unique cars begin arriving for the show. A little to the north of downtown tractors and racing lawnmowers are revving up. |

| 8:00 PM - Fireworks! After sundown, when dark is just setting in, be sure to grab a good seat in the amphitheater for the headline entertainment - and fireworks! After the 8 PM fireworks show, the band comes back to finish out the evening in style. |
